Emerson Palmieri’s agent Fernando Garcia has revealed he is unsure as to whether his client could leave Chelsea in next month’s transfer window and also revealed that he has had zero contact with Inter regarding a possible transfer.
The Brazilian born naturalised Italian has found play time difficult to come by this season with him having been limited to just seven appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has failed to make any goal contributions.
He has been heavily linked with a potential departure from the Premier League side in the January transfer window and has long been linked with a potential switch to Inter.
“Will he go away from Chelsea in January? I do not believe so. I don’t know if there will be the possibility of returning to Italy.
“For now there have been no contact with Inter,” Garcia explained in an interview with Italian news outlet FCInter1908.it.
Asked about his client’s relationship with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard he said: “Emerson has a good relationship with Lampard.”
Garcia was then asked about Inter manager Antonio Conte’s esteem for his client, who joined Chelsea in January 2018 and is under contract with them through to the end of next season: “The esteem is mutual.”
