Inter have recorded their sixth win in the Serie A on the trot after defeating Spezia at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, thanks to goals from Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku.
Inter struggled with breaking down Spezia from the start with the visitors making life difficult for the hosts thanks to some excellent defending.
The Nerazzurri started the second half much better thanks to Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez linking up before the latter assisted Achraf Hakimi who broke the deadlock.
Midway through the second half Inter were awarded a penalty after Spezia’s Nzola handballed in the penalty area and Romelu Lukaku made no mistake from doubling Inter’s lead.
In the dying minutes Spezia got one back when Roberto Piccoli scored reducing the deficit to just the one goal but it was too little too late for the visitors.
