Inter’s upcoming January transfer window will revolve around Christian Eriksen, just like it did last January transfer window, according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter brought in Eriksen in a cut price deal from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur last January but this January the Danish national team attacking midfielder is expected to be sold in order to raise some much needed transfer funds. So far however there has been a real lack of offers with the only real offer of late coming from Hertha Berlin.
The report goes on to explain that Inter have two priorities when it comes to incoming signings with Inter manager Antonio Conte wanting another central midfielder as well as a striker.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Leandro Paredes is an option whilst Lille and Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches is also tempting to Inter and he will not cost more than €25 million. Rodrigo de Paul is another name to have been linked with Inter but he costs a lot more than Sanches would whilst youngster Nicolo Rovella is another name.
When it comes to the attack, Inter are remaining vigilant when it comes to Atalanta’s Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez. Gervinho, who Inter courted in the Summer, also remains an option and would be a low-cost option for the Nerazzurri club, who young striker Andrea Pinamonti seems destined to leave.
The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to add that there is a desire on Inter’s part to go for Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso again. Ashley Young has not performed how he did last season whilst Ivan Perisic could leave and Inter could potentially try and bring in Alonso, who Inter boss Conte has wanted reunited with for some time.
