Serbian powerhouses Red Star Belgrade have announced the signing of Inter winger Axel Bakayoko on a permanent basis via an official statement on their club website as well as posts across their social media channels.
The French youngster will officially join his new club on January 11 and he has agreed a three and a half year contract with the six time Serbian SuperLiga champions.
The 22-year-old, who made five appearances for the French under 20 national team a few years ago, will leave Inter after just about six and a half years with the club.
He arrived at Inter from French club Red Star FC, who have no connection to his new employers, back in the Summer of 2014 and joined the club’s under 17 side.
Bakayoko progressed through the youth ranks but found first team opportunities extremely limited with him ultimately managing to make just one senior appearance for the Nerazzurri club.
