Inter manager Antonio Conte wants at least two signings to be made in next month’s January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The former Chelsea manager would like a new midfielder and striker signed to strengthen Inter’s bid to win the Serie A title come the end of this season.
When it comes to the midfield, there is one player viewed as above all others and that is Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul.
Inter could try and bring him to the club on an 18 month loan basis, without an obligation to buy but a conditional one, the payment of which would have to be deferred. Inter could also loan Matias Vecino to Udinese as part of a deal.
As for the attack, Parma’s Gervinho, Torino’s Simone Zaza and Udinese’s Kevin Lasagna have all been linked but they are not the only options.
The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to add that Leonardo Pavoletti is an option. Inter could acquire the former Napoli player in a swap deal with Cagliari that would see Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan head back to the Sardinian club.
The report concludes that much will depend on the sales that Inter manage to make next month.
