Inter really like Sampdoria’s Mikkel Damsgaard according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio and his deputy Dario Baccin have both been left impressed with the performances of the young Dane in recent months.
The Nerazzurri club are understood to be assessing whether to get a deal in place that would see them sign him from La Samp in the Summer transfer window. Out of favour Inter central midfielders Radja Nainggolan or Matias Vecino could even be loaned to Sampdoria, the report from the Turin based news outlet adds.
20-year-old Damsgaard only joined his current employers back in September from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland and he is under contract with the Stadio Luigi Ferraris side through to the end of the 2023/24 season.
The one time Danish national team representative has made 14 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored two goals and provided as many assists.
