Inter manager Antonio Conte is of the belief that Inter are not obliged to win the Serie A title and remain inferior to remaining champions Juventus according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

As per this report, the former Italian national team boss considers his former employers to still be the favourites for the title, despite the fact they are trailing league leaders AC Milan at the moment by seven points.

The report goes on to explain that things could change only if the gaps in the Inter squad are filled during next month’s transfer window with Conte, above all, seeking a new midfielder and a new striker too.

If this does not happen, it will then be up to the club to explain the situation both in private but also in public. Conte has made it known what he wants, now the ball is in the court of Inter management, whose actions will ultimately set the goals the team can aim for.
