Inter are in a three way race to sign promising Genoa midfielder Nicolo Rovella according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri have long been linked with signing the Italian youth national team representative and face competition from fellow Serie A sides Juventus and Roma to sign him with Juventus currently the ones leading the race for his signature and are prepared to do a deal and allow Rovella to remain on loan at Genoa for a year if not two.
Rovella’s current contract with the Rossoblu is due to expire at the end of this season and the report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to report that Rovella has refused Genoa’s new contract offers.
This season the recently turned 19-year-old has made eight appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park which totals just under 600 minutes, he has failed to make any goal contributions.
