Inter have set their sights on signing Granada goalkeeper Rui Silva according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The Portuguese goalkeeper has established himself at the Spanish club in recent seasons and with an expiring contract, he will be free to negotiate a pre-contract with any club from January 1.
Inter are not the only club with an interest in signing 26-year-old Silva with the report adding that Lazio, Roma, Valencia, Real Betis and Atletico Madrid are all keeping tabs on him too.
Silva is one of several candidates that Inter are considering as they continue their hunt for a long term replacement for current number one goalkeeper and club captain Samir Handanovic.
Udinese’s Juan Musso is also an option but will not come cheap with the Bianconeri club said to want in the region of €30 million for him.
Cagliari’s Alessio Cragno is another player that Inter have been keeping an eye on for some time and he too will not come cheap.
