Atalanta owner Antonio Percassi has had enough about talking about Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez’ situation at the club and has admitted that he considers the matter to be closed.
There has been a breakdown in relations in recent weeks between captain Gomez and the club and as a result he is widely expected to depart the club in next month’s transfer window with a number of clubs said to be interested in him.
Some reports have even suggested that Inter have already agreed a contract in principle with the Argentine, who Atalanta are believed to want in the region of €10 million for.
Inter are reportedly pondering making a loan swap deal offer or could offer youngster Gaetano Oristanio as part of a deal for him.
“Look, we have already talked about it enough. The case is closed for me. Period,” Percassi remarked in an interview which appeared in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper L’Eco di Bergamo.
This season 32-year-old Gomez has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and tallied four assists.
