Former Napoli striker Bruno Giordano has warned Inter not to underestimate Juventus in this season’s Serie A title race.

Antonio Conte’s side currently have an eight-point advantage over the Bianconeri, who are lying sixth in the table as the league prepares to resume on Sunday.

But Giordano, who helped Napoli win the title in 1987, believes Andrea Pirlo’s men will be involved in the race until the bitter end.

“They’ll probably stage a comeback, who knows if it’ll be successful,” Giordano told TMW Radio.

“Juventus will be involved in the title race until the final game of the season, just like the two Milan clubs.

“Some of their players need to improve their physical condition, Paulo Dybala in particular.

“If they can get back the Dybala we saw last season he could be very important in the second half of the season.”

Inter will resume their league campaign on Sunday when they host Crotone at San Siro, before travelling to play Sampdoria on Wednesday afternoon.

The Nerazzurri then face tricky matches away at Roma and at home to Juventus before they finish the first half of the season with a trip to play Udinese.

“The conditions for Inter to win the league are there because they will only be playing in the league, whereas the other teams will have matches in Europe,” Giordano added.

Inter were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League at the group stage in December after a disappointing campaign that reaped just six points in their six matches.
