Inter could make a move to sign former Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches in the January transfer window, according to reports in the British media.

BBC Sport today reported the Portuguese talent, currently playing for Ligue 1 leaders Lille, is being monitored by the Nerazzurri’s CEO Beppe Marotta as well as Premier League champions Liverpool.

Lille could be forced to sacrifice the 23-year-old, who has made 40 appearances for the club since joining in 2019, due to financial difficulties.

Sanches joined Bayern in 2016 after shining at the European Championships in France but has moved elsewhere in a bid to revitalise his career.

BBC also confirmed striker Divock Origi could leave Liverpool in January after struggling for game time in the first half of the season.

Liverpool would be willing to let the Belgian international leave on loan with Wolves, Newcastle and Leeds said to be interested.

However, Inter have been linked with the forward elsewhere and would see their prospects boosted should a loan deal be possible.

Christian Eriksen was also said to be likely to leave Inter this month due to his ‘strained’ relationship with head coach Antonio Conte.

Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Manchester United were all reported as potential candidates for the Danish international.
