Christian Eriksen is not suited for Italian football and Inter are right to be looking to offload him, at least according to noted agent Oscar Damiani.
The Danish national team player has had a nightmare spell with Inter since joining in a circa €20 million deal from Tottenham Hotspur last January and he is widely expected to be moved on during the January tranfer window.
Eriksen, who still has three and a half years to run on his contract with Inter, has drawn no shortage of links to clubs across Europe from Paris Saint-Germain to a host of Premier League sides including both Arsenal and Manchester United.
La Liga outfit Valencia have also been linked with potentially signing the 28-year-old, who has failed to make any goal contributions whatsoever in 12 appearances across all competitions to date this term.
“In my opinion he is not very suitable for Italian football despite having good qualities, he lacks a bit of power and explosiveness, perhaps English football is more suited to his qualities,” Damiani explained in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Bianconera, yesterday afternoon.
“I think Inter are right to give him away, probably on loan because I think it’s difficult to find a permanent move now.”
Damiani also touched upon the race for the Serie A title this season.
“Juventus must aim for the Scudetto. They have a great squad, are a great club and whilst there has been a change of coach, they have every chance of fighting for the title.
“I don’t know if AC Milan will be able to hold out until the end, but the fact that they play and win without Ibra is important. Certainly AC Milan, Inter and Juve are the candidates to win.”
