Inter have contacted the entourage of their former striker Eder with a view to bringing him back to the club, according to reports in Italy.
Gianluca Di Marzio opened his transfer program on Sky Sport Italia tonight by revealing that the Nerazzurri want the 34-year-old as a low-cost reinforcement up front.
Antonio Conte would approve the deal to sign the Italian-Brazilian, who scored 14 goals in 86 appearances for Inter between 2016 and 2018.
Eder currently plays for Jiangsu Suning, the other club owned by Inter’s majority shareholders Suning, where he earns €5 million annually before tax.
Inter want an extra striker up front in this month’s transfer window to guard against running short of options in the remainder of the season.
Eder arrived from Sampdoria in the January session five years ago after a last-minute change of heart from then-head coach Roberto Mancini, who had previously requested a move for his team-mate Roberto Soriano.
He scored 10 goals in the 2016-17 season, including eight in Serie A and one on his 200th appearance in Italy’s top flight against Pescara.
Eder has also played for Empoli, Frosinone, Brescia and Cesena since arriving from Brazil as a youngster.
