Inter would face tough competition from Juventus if Udinese midfielder Rodrigo De Paul became available in January, according to Spanish media reports.

Udinese’s sporting director Pierpaolo Marino has confirmed the Argentine will be going nowhere this month after an impressive start to the 2020-21 season.

TodoFichajes.com reported that Inter, Juventus and Leeds United are all interested in signing De Paul, with the Bianconeri currently thought to be favourites.

Leeds are however in a position to offer De Paul a more lucrative contract than Juventus can promise.

Inter have yet to submit any formal offer to Udinese for De Paul but have been in talks with his representatives over a potential switch to the Nerazzurri.

De Paul, who is under contract with Udinese through to the end of the 2023-24 season, has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and provided as many assists.

Inter will conclude the first half of their Serie A campaign with a trip to play Luca Gotti’s side at the Dacia Arena on 23 January.
