Inter have agreed personal terms with Atalanta forward Papu Gomez ahead of a possible January move, according to a report in Italy tonight.
TuttoMercatoWeb report that the Nerazzurri have come to an agreement in principle with the Argentine over a contract when it comes to the salary he will be paid as well as the duration of contract.
However, they now need to find an agreement with Atalanta for the 32-year-old, who is rated €15 million, with no sign of the Bergamaschi lowering their demands.
Before perhaps trying to convince Atalanta to accept something less for the former Catania player, the report explains that Inter must offload players.
Inter must also be wary of arch rivals Juventus with it understood that their sporting director Fabio Paratici has offered Federico Bernardeschi in a swap deal.
As things stand Atalanta are not all that excited by the Bianconeri’s offer, but they have not yet refused the offer either.
Gomez has scored five goals for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side in 16 appearances this season but fell out with the former Inter head coach during a UEFA Champions League game in November.
