Inter’s over-reliance on Romelu Lukaku is a cause for serious concern, according to Italian journalist and Nerazzurri supporter Fabrizio Biasin.
Antonio Conte’s side fell to defeat at Sampdoria on Wednesday in a game that saw Lukaku left on the bench due to a thigh problem he sustained against Crotone on Sunday.
By the time the Belgian international came onto the pitch at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris during the second half, Inter were already 2-0 down and he could not help the team to recover and get anything from this game.
Lukaku joined Inter in the summer of 2019 in a club-record transfer deal from Manchester United and has been absolutely prolific for the club in the time since.
The former Everton player, 27, has scored a highly impressive 50 goals in 71 appearances across all competitions to date and he has also provided nine assists for his teammates.
Biasin took to social media platform Twitter and posted: “It is useless to beat about the bush: Inter are dependent on Lukaku.
“And when you’re reliant on just one player, it’s never good news.”
È inutile star lì a fare troppi ragionamenti: l’#Inter è #Lukaku-dipendente.
E quando dipendi da un solo giocatore non è mai una bella notizia.#SampInter
