Inter must offer Graziano Pelle the chance to stay with them next season if they wish to sign the former Italy international in January, according to a report in Italy tonight.

Antonio Conte coached the 35-year-old, now a free agent after being released by Shandong Luneng, while in charge of the Azzurri, who has been linked with a return to Serie A.

Juventus are also thought to be interested but a report on the online edition of Gazzetta dello Sport said both clubs are likely to be put off by Pelle’s demands.

Pelle does not wish to join for six months with little chance of playing regularly and then be discarded in the summer.

Inter and Juventus have both made enquiries with his entourage and been informed of his desire to have at least a one-year contract, but neither are likely to make such an offer.

Pelle also has interest from West Ham in the Premier League but is planning to take his time and consider all options.
