Inter coach Antonio Conte is expected to heavily rotate his side for Wednesday’s Coppa Italia match away to Fiorentina, as per an Italian media report today.
Monday’s print edition of Tuttosport assured there would be new faces in every department for the last 16 tie at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, where the Nerazzurri will be looking to put Sunday’s disappointing draw at Roma behind them.
Andrea Ranocchia and Aleksandar Kolarov could be afforded rare opportunities to start in defence whilst Stefano Sensi, Roberto Gagliardini and Ivan Perisic could all also play.
Alexis Sanchez will start in the attack with Lautaro Martinez to give Romelu Lukaku a rest, and it is possible that Christian Eriksen may even get to start the match in Florence.
The report goes on to explain that it remains to be seen whether Conte will stick with club captain Samir Handanovic in goals or whether he will decide to grant Ionut Andrei Radu a first chance to play this season.
Inter would face AC Milan in the quarter-finals if both sides made it through their respective ties this week.
