Arturo Vidal and Matteo Darmian will be tested by Inter’s medical staff today to discover whether they can recover in time for Wednesday’s Coppa Italia tie at Fiorentina, as reported by the Italian media.
Vidal sustained a blow to his right leg during yesterday’s 2-2 draw at Roma which led to him requesting a substitution midway through the second half.
Darmian, meanwhile, took a blow to his pelvis although radiography and magnetic resonance tests returned negative results, which suggests he could recover quickly.
Both will assessed by club doctors today and it now remains to be seen whether either problem is serious enough to rule them out of the match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in 48 hours.
Vidal, who joined Inter from Barcelona last summer, has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has managed to provide two assists for his team-mates.
The highly versatile Darmian has meanwhile made 14 appearances since his arrival from Parma in the summer with him having contributed one goal and a total of three assists for his teammates.
