Inter midfielder Lucien Agoume’s agent believes his client is playing very well for loan club Spezia and is only going to get better as he plays more and more matches.

Agoume joined the newly-promoted Serie A side on a season long loan from the Nerazzurri last summer and after an initially difficult period where he struggled to play regularly, he is now being given a chance and performing well.

The French youngster was named in tonight’s starting XI for Spezia’s match at home to Sampdoria.

“He’s finally playing, and he’s doing it very well,” his agent Djibril Niang explained in an interview with Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

“He is happy, he works very well with head coach Vincenzo Italiano, who now trusts him.”

Niang then went on to share his belief that Agoume will play more often in the second half of the season under Italiano at the Liguria based club.

“It’s true that in the first part of the season we saw him play less, but it helped the coach to better prepare Lucien and I think he will find more space in this second half of the championship.

“You will see that he will continue to show progress.

“His best qualities are technique and vision, but match after match he will also improve his tackling and defensive work.”

The 18-year-old, who is under contract with Inter through to the end of 2022/23 season, has made six appearances whilst on loan at Spezia.

During his time on the park, which totals just under 500 minutes, he has failed to make any goal contributions.
