Alessandro Bastoni’s performance for Inter against Roma yesterday was described as ‘frightened’ by one of Italy’s leading newspapers today.
The Italy international scored the Nerazzurri’s lowest player rating in Monday’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport, scoring just 5/10 after being involved in both Roma’s goals during the 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico.
Bastoni was not the only player whose performance was judged to be a failure, however, with Arturo Vidal, Ivan Perisic and Aleksandar Kolarov all being criticised too, though they did do slightly better in terms of ratings as they all receieved 5.5/10.
Achraf Hakimi was meanwhile said to be the best performing player in the Italian capital with the Moroccan wing-back receiving a rating of 7.5/10.
Marcelo Brozovic, Romelu Lukaku, Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar all meanwhile receieved ratings of 6.5/10 whilst Samir Handanovic, Nicolo Barella, Matteo Darmian, Ashley Young and Lautaro Martinez were all rated 6/10.
Antonio Conte received a rating of 5/10 after being criticised for substitutions that ensured his side ‘drew a game that they had in the bag’.
