Juventus forward Paulo Dybala will miss Sunday’s Derby d’Italia fixture against Inter with a knee injury, the Bianconeri confirmed this afternoon.
Dybala was forced off shortly before half-time during last night’s 3-1 win against Sassuolo, which saw Andrea Pirlo’s side cut the gap between themselves and Inter to four points.
In a statement on their website, the reigning Serie A champions explained that the Argentine’s condition was examined today and that tests revealed a low-grade lesion of the medial collateral ligament of the left knee.
The former Palermo player will miss the next 15-20 days of action, ruling him out of this weekend’s crunch match at San Siro.
While Pirlo has been dealt a blow by losing Dybala, Juventus also confirmed that the tests conducted on Federico Chiesa and Weston McKennie ruled out any injuries for either player.
Both players will have their respective conditions assessed on a day to day basis and it now remains to be seen whether or not either or both will be available to take on Antonio Conte’s side.
