Pescara are in pole position to take Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito on loan for the second half of the 2020-21 season, according to an Italian media report today.

As per CalcioMercato.com, the Serie B strugglers are expected to secure a deal in the coming days after streaking ahead of the competition for the 18-year-old.

Pescara are one of a host of second-tier clubs to have shown an interest in taking Esposito on loan for the remainder of this season and although not mentioned in this report, he has also been linked with the likes of Brescia, Cittadella and Reggina in reports elsewhere in the media.

The highly-rated Italian youth national team representative was loaned to SPAL with a view to playing more regularly to help aid his development but he has not played a lot as of late at SPAL.

During his loan spell at the Stadio Paolo Mazza, the 18-year-old has made 13 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored one goal.
