Inter have made it to the quarterfinal stage of the Coppa Italia for the last seven seasons in a row, Opta have highlighted on Twitter.

The Nerazzurri managed to extend their run of consecutive trips to the last eight by seeing off Fiorentina 2-1 after extra time at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Wednesday.

This was also the second time during Inter’s ongoing streak of quarterfinal qualifications that they have required extra time, with them also needing an additional half-hour – and penalties as well – to beat third-division side Pordenone back in 2017-18.
