Financial difficulties at Suning owned clubs are not only limited to Inter, with their other club Jiangsu FC also facing choppy waters, according to a Chinese media report today.
As per Titan Sports Plus, the players of the reigning Chinese Super League champions have not received their salaries for the final three months of 2020.
In addition to this, image rights payments have not been paid to the players either, nor has the title winning bonus of ¥20 million, which is approximately €2.55 million.
Inter have been linked in January with a surprise move to re-sign their former striker Eder, who is currently at Jiangsu, with reports last week explaining that Jiangsu were desperate to offload some players on hefty salaries.
The Nerazzurri are also facing problems financially at the moment, having not paid the salaries of their players for the last two months of 2020.
The club made a loss in excess of €100 million in the last financial year and as a result of the club’s financial situation, there has been plenty of talk over a potential sale of the club with BC Partners appearing to be the front-runners at this moment in time.
