Shanghai-based LD Sports have reached an agreement to become Inter’s official infotainment partner in Asia, according to Italian media.

According to Italian media outlet  FCInterNews the platform provides sports marketing, content and entertainment packages across East Asia and will see the Chinese company feature heavily in marketing campaigns throughout the remainder of the season.

Meanwhile, LD Sports will enjoy increased visibility on advertising boards at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, starting with Inter’s Derby d’Italia clash against Juventus in Serie A on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET.

“We are delighted to collaborate with FC Internazionale,” LD Sports director of business development Kevin Tan declared.

“It’s an exciting new opportunity for us that will make a significant impact on our business in 2021 and also provide us with a platform to grow and engage with fans around the world, particularly in the Chinese market.

“We strongly believe that this partnership will be successful and profitable for both parties and we can’t wait to experience the remainder of the Serie A season alongside Inter.”

LD Sports signed a 3-year shirt shirt sponsorship deal with Premier League outfit Southampton worth £7.5 million per season back in 2019.

However the deal was ripped up reportedly 2 years in advance this past summer due to growing tensions between the Chinese government and its British counterparts as well as economic uncertainties following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
