Inter are expected to double the salary of defender Alessandro Bastoni as part of his new contract with the club, according to an Italian media report today.

As per Tuttosport’s print edition, the Italian national team player currently earns a salary of around €1 million a year, including bonuses, and as part of a new contract, he will earn a salary worth more than €2 million a year to him.

Bastoni is under contract with Inter through to the end of the 2022-23 season and multiple reports in the media as of late have claimed that Inter would like to extend his deal with the club until at least 2025.

There is already an agreement in place over a new deal as per Tuttosport and the new deal could be made official at the end of this season.

This season Bastoni has made 21 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has provided three assists for his teammates.
