Alexis Sanchez will be fit to feature for Inter on Saturday when the Nerazzurri visit his former club Udinese, a leading Italian broadcaster confirmed this afternoon.
As per Sky Sport Italia, Antonio Conte is expected to name the Chilean forward in his match-day squad with Sanchez almost fully recovered from the thigh problem he picked up at the end of Sunday’s win over Juventus.
Sanchez is unlikely to start at the Dacia Arena but he will be ready to come off the bench when necessary.
The former Manchester United striker scored 21 goals in 112 appearances for Udinese, where he spent three seasons between 2008 and 2011 before moving to Barcelona.
Conte is also closely monitoring Stefano Sensi and Matias Vecino with both edging closer to a return to action, potentially this weekend against Luca Gotti’s side.
Sensi’s condition has improved after he withdrew from the starting XI in last week’s Coppa Italia tie at Fiorentina, while Conte hopes to have Vecino in his squad as well.
Inter head into Saturday’s match sitting in second place in the Serie A standings, 23 points better off than Udinese, who are lying 15th.
