Inter could be set for a transfer derby with AC Milan after both clubs were offered FC Porto midfielder Otavio on a free transfer for this summer, according to a report in Italy.
A report in the media yesterday revealed the Nerazzurri had been made aware of the midfielder’s intention not to renew his contract with the reigning Portuguese champions, which expires at the end of the season.
As per Tuttosport’s print edition, however, Otavio has also been offered to AC Milan, setting up the prospect of a derby between the clubs to secure the 25-year-old’s services.
During his time on the pitch this season Otavio, who has been with FC Porto since 2014, has scored three goals and provided a total of eight assists.
Both clubs have taken note of the opportunity to sign him and it now remains to be seen whether either will opt to step up their pursuit in the coming months.
