Danilo D’Ambrosio trained outside for the first time yesterday as the Inter defender continues his recovery from a knee injury, according to a report in Italy.

The Italy international was forced off in stoppage time of the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 defeat at Sampdoria on January 6 and is midway through a month-long spell on the sidelines.

D’Ambrosio’s condition is improving albeit he will not be fit to take part in tomorrow’s Serie A fixture at Udinese.

Antonio Conte is expected to name an unchanged XI from last weekend’s Derby d’Italia victory over Juventus at San Siro.

Alexis Sanchez has recovered from the thigh fatigue he picked up against the Bianconeri and will be included in the squad, although he will start on the bench.

Matias Vecino is also in contention to feature in Conte’s squad for the first time since July, with the Uruguayan all but recovered from a knee injury of his own.

Probable Inter starting line-up (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Hakimi, Barella, Brozovic, Vidal, Young; Lukaku, Lautaro.
