Udinese midfielder Rodrigo de Paul wants to join Inter in the summer, according to an Italian newspaper report today.

As per Tuttosport’s print edition, Inter have a preliminary agreement with the 26-year-old ahead of a move before the beginning of next season.

The Nerazzurri will be not be able to speed things up and sign De Paul in January, even if they are to raise funds by offloading Christian Eriksen.

The report from the Turin-based news outlet does not provide any form of details on the agreement between Inter and De Paul, but Udinese are widely reported to want €30-35 million for their star man, who has long been linked with a departure from the Dacia Arena.

In addition to being linked with Inter, De Paul has reportedly attracted interest from Juventus, Liverpool and Leeds United, but it would appear that Inter are on step ahead of all of these clubs when it comes to signing him.

This season the Argentine international has four goals and three assists in 20 appearances for Udinese, who host Inter tomorrow at the Dacia Arena.
