Inter boss Antonio Conte could be banned for two or three matches, if not more, after his sending off against Udinese, according to an Italian media report today.
The Nerazzurri coach was given his marching orders by referee Fabio Maresca at the end of the match and as per Corriere dello Sport, the length of his ban will depend on what Maresca and his assistants wrote in their match report.
Following the full-time whistle, Conte and assistant coach Cristian Stellini launched protests against Maresca, with Conte waiting for Maresca in the tunnel before raising his voice upon Maresca’s arrival in the tunnel.
Maresca did not go immediately to his dressing room and while neither raised their hands and there was no need for separation, things did get heated.
Maresca’s actions angered Conte who is said to have screamed: ‘Don’t look at me with that face.’
The report then claims that some say Conte even called him something along the lines of a ‘delinquent’, but others deny this was said.
