Inter are unlikely to replace Christian Eriksen if they are to succeed in offloading him before the transfer window closes, according to an Italian newspaper report today.
As per Tuttosport’s print edition, there are currently no concrete offers for the struggling Denmark international, who has been linked with a possible return to the Premier League.
Even if concrete offers do arrive and Inter move him on, they are unlikely to bring in someone to replace him.
Eriksen has been linked with a potential return to Tottenham Hotspur, who he left to join Inter, almost a year ago to this day.
2015-16 Premier League champions Leicester City have also been linked but have been put off by Eriksen’s wage demands, which are several times that of their highest earners at the moment.
Arsenal have also been linked with many reports suggesting that the two clubs could conduct a swap deal which would see Eriksen and Lucas Torreira exchanged.
