Romelu Lukaku will attempt to get himself back among the goals in tonight’s Milan derby, a fixture in which he has always enjoyed great success for Inter, an Italian media report highlighted today.

The Belgian national team forward has failed to score in any of the Nerazzurri’s last four league games and while he did score the goal that took Inter to the Coppa Italia quarter-finals against Fiorentina, his lack of goals of late has been a slight concern for Antonio Conte.

Tuttosport highlight that Lukaku has played in the Milan derby three times since joining the club in 2019 and in each of the three games he has always scored.

In the first half of the season so far, Lukaku has continued to be hugely important for Inter having scored 17 goals in 25 games.

Last season he managed 34 goals in 51 games in all competitions but that will be a very difficult tally to match this year, given that Inter are completely out of European competition.
