Nicolo Barella was lauded in Italy’s media today for the consistency of his performances following Inter’s 2-1 win over AC Milan in the Coppa Italia.

Corriere dello Sport praised the midfielder in their player ratings for never dropping his level week after week, awarding the 23-year-old 7/10 for his display at San Siro.

Christian Eriksen also received 7/10 from the Rome-based publication after his stoppage-time free-kick, with the paper wryly commenting: ‘To think he was supposed to leave the club…’

Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Achraf Hakimi all got 6.5/10 for their efforts in the match against the Rossoneri.

Samir Handanovic, Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Aleksandar Kolarov, Matteo Darmian, Marcelo Brozovic, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Perisic and Lautaro Martinez all meanwhile got 6/10.

Inter coach Antonio Conte’s performance was rated 7.5/10 for the way he had his side play more, create more and attack more than their opponents did.

Inter will play either Juventus or SPAL in the semi-finals, with the first leg scheduled to take place next week.
