Inter are weighing up any potential impact on Lautaro Martinez before agreeing a loan swap with Roma that would bring Edin Dzeko to the club, according to an Italian media report today.

Inter and Roma are in talks with one another over a swap deal that would see Alexis Sanchez and Dzeko exchanged on a loan basis until the end of this season.

The clubs have been in talks since yesterday over a move, which is reportedly a far from easy one to achieve given the difference in the salaries that the two players earn.

As per Corriere della Sera, Inter are thinking about how the move could impact Lautaro, who could ultimately end up with less playing time seeing as Dzeko could not only be a back-up to Romelu Lukaku but also a starter alongside the Belgian.

The report adds that Inter are currently in talks with Lautaro’s representatives over a new deal and are close to agreeing a new deal until 2024 that will be worth €4.5 million a year to the player.
