Inter are in talks with Lucien Agoume’s agent to extend the midfielder’s contract with the club, a representative of the French youngster confirmed today.

Agoume, who is on a season-long loan at Spezia, is currently under contract with the Nerazzurri until the end of the 2022-23 season is one of several players Inter are working to renew, alongside Lautaro Martinez and Alessandro Bastoni.

A report yesterday said Bayern Munich were monitoring the 18-year-old’s progress in Italy, but it seems Inter have no interest in contemplating a sale.

“We are discussing the renewal with Inter, we will see what happens, we want to put pen to paper,” Crescenzo Cecere, an intermediary figure working with Agoume, explained in an interview with Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

“The boy cares a lot about the Nerazzurri, he wants to return to Inter, that’s his goal.”

Cecere also touched upon Agoume and his loan spell with Spezia, which, after some initial difficulties, now seems to be going well for the teenager, who has been compared in the past to Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.

“The boy is doing well, both us and his agent are happy to have chosen Spezia,” Cecere assured.

Cecere also looks after Inter owned Andrew Gravillon under similar circumstances to Agoume and touched upon the defender’s loan stint with French side Lorient, who have an option to buy him in the summer.

“Gravillon is having an excellent season in France.

“On Wednesday he scored a goal that is worth double in a relegation battle.

“He has had some suitors but he is happy and wants to continue with his adventure in France.

“We’ll see what happens when it’s time for Lorient to sign him from Inter.”
