Fiorentina star Franck Ribery has urged his teammates not to go into their Serie A clash against Inter with any fear.

The Viola welcome Inter to the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Friday evening looking bounce back from a 1-1 draw against Torino yesterday, in which they conceded late on and were reduced to nine men after two red cards.

Ribery was on target against the Granata and issued a rallying cry to his teammates ahead of the clash against Inter, as Fiorentina endure a disappointing season.

“We must recover well and prepare for the match against Inter. It will be a difficult match against a very strong team,” the former France international told Fiorentina’s inhouse TV channel post match.

“We are at home though and we must go into this match without any fear.”

Fiorentina currently sit in 12th place in Serie A under coach Cesare Prandelli, as the look to recover from a disastrous start under predecessor Giuseppe Iachini.

The Viola have not beaten Inter in any of their past seven meetings, with the last victory coming in a thrilling 5-4 Serie A clash in April 2017.
