Christian Eriksen is like a new signing for Inter ahead of their Serie A title run-in, according to noted Italian football agent and intermediary Oscar Damiani.
In recent matches, Eriksen has been deployed in a different role to his natural attacking midfielder role with Antonio Conte instead using him as a deep-lying play-maker.
The early signs from Eriksen in this position have been promising, and after a year of difficulties at Inter, it does appear as if the 28-year-old Denmark international is finally kick starting his Nerazzurri career.
“Is Eriksen like a new signing for Inter? Based on Saturday’s match against Benevento I would say yes,” Damiani remarked in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Anch’io Lo Sport today.
“He is a particular player but he has the qualities to do well.
“Inter have many goals scored by the attackers, but are missing goals from their midfielders.”
Eriksen, who joined Inter in January 2020 from Tottenham Hotspur on a four-and-a-half-year contract, has made 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
During his time on the pitch, the former Ajax midfielder has managed to score a single goal, against city rivals AC Milan in last week’s dramatic 2-1 win in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
