Inter have guaranteed themselves a ‘glowing’ future by snapping up four of Europe’s most promising youngsters, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Tuesday’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport argues that the Nerazzurri have set themselves up well for the coming seasons with Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella, Lautaro Martinez and Achraf Hakimi all within their ranks.

Bastoni and Lautaro are close to agreeing contract extensions at Inter, the Milanese paper confirmed, while club executives are hoping Barella will stay for the long haul and become ‘Mister Inter’.

The report said it felt like Barella had been at Inter for years, even though he is only 23 and arrived from Cagliari a mere 18 months ago.

GdS also highlighted two other talented players in Milan Skriniar and Stefano Sensi, both of whom are already 25 but have the potential to become even better players in the next few seasons.

Bastoni, Barella, Lautaro and Skriniar will all start for Antonio Conte’s side tonight when they host Juventus in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final.
