Inter moved top of Serie A with a 2-0 win over Fiorentina yesterday, but their hopes of winning silverware will be tested in the coming weeks, Italian media claim.

A first half curling effort from Nicolo Barella was followed up Ivan Perisic’s goal after the break to send Antonio Conte’s side a point clear at the top of the table, as Inter recorded a comfortable win at the Stadio Artemio Franchi ahead of AC Milan’s match against Crotone tomorrow.

However, as reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere della Sera, the Nerazzurri face a tough run-in over February that could determine whether they win a first trophy since lifting the Coppa Italia in 2011.

Conte faces former club Juventus in the second leg of the Coppa Italia Semi-Final on Tuesday, with Inter looking to overturn a 2-1 defeat last week.

Following the clash against the Bianconeri, Inter return to Serie A action as they welcome in-form Lazio to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza next Sunday, before the Derby della Madonnina against Milan the following weekend.
