After an uncertain spell, Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic enjoyed a fine performance in the 2-0 win over Fiorentina yesterday, Italian media claim.

The Nerazzurri captain came under criticism after being caught out of position to allow Cristiano Ronaldo to score during the 2-1 Coppa Italia Semi-Final defeat against Juventus on Tuesday, but pulled off a string of saves to deny Fiorentina’s Giacomo Bonaventura and Cristiano Biraghi.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Slovenia international Handanovic was awarded a 7 for his double save on the pair, as well as a fine stop from Dusan Vlahovic, with the suggestion that he was back to his best.

Meanwhile, midfielder Nicolo Barella earned the highest rating at 7.5 after setting Inter up for victory with a wonderful first half strike, and wingers Achraf Hakimi and Ivan Perisic scored a 7 after the former set up the latter for the second goal.

The pair were joined by forward Alexis Sanchez and central midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, whilst Arturo Vidal was the lowest scorer on 5.5.
