Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is one of the most expensive signings in Serie A history, as highlighted by data company Transfermarkt.
The Nerazzurri shelled out €74 million to sign Lukaku to Manchester United in the summer of 2019 and have been handsomely repaid ever since, with the Belgian netting 54 goals in 78 appearances thus far.
Lukaku’s transfer fee is the fourth highest in the history of Italian football, behind only Matthijs de Ligt (€85.5 million), Gonzalo Higuain (€90 million) and Cristiano Ronaldo (€117 million), all of whom signed for Juventus.
All four were named in Transfermarkt’s special XI which highlighted Italy’s priciest ever transfers.
