Inter risk being priced out of signing a replacement for current number one goalkeeper Samir Handanovic in the summer, according to an Italian media report today.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport‘s online edition, given the costs involved in bringing in a replacement such as Udinese’s Juan Musso, who is valued at €30 million, it cannot be ruled out that Handanovic may still be Inter’s number one come the start of the 2021-22 season.
The Slovenian’s contract with the club is due to expire at the end of next season but his future remains unclear, with his agent Fali Ramadani yet to hold any discussions with the Nerazzurri’s management over a renewal.
The Milan-based publication went on to explain however that it would soon be understood who could be Handanovic’s back-up.
Ionut Andrei Radu is the current back-up but hopes to spend next season as a starter, meaning he might move elsewhere.
Inter will also look to try and improve Filip Stankovic by either keeping him with the club for another season or loaning him out to a team in Serie B.
Current third-choice goalkeeper Daniele Padelli’s contract will meanwhile expire at the end of the season.
