Inter boss Antonio Conte will not rest Alessandro Bastoni, Marcelo Brozovic or Nicolo Barella against Lazio despite all three being a booking away from suspension, according to an Italian newspaper report today.
As per Tuttosport, everything points towards Conte relying upon the trio as he is thinking about the present and does not want to hamper himself in advance of what could happen or eventually happen.
It will be an important match for all three, who, if booked, would miss next weekend’s huge Milan derby match against AC Milan, which could be a pivotal match in the Serie A title race.
Last year, Bastoni went into the match before the derby one booking away from suspension and got booked, and it remains to be seen whether he will have learned from this.
The Turin-based publication goes on to highlight that by this stage last season both Brozovic and Barella had already been suspended, thus meaning they have made an improvement in this regard.
