Inter striker Romelu Lukaku believes he is being treated unfairly by the Italian media, according to a report.
The Nerazzurri’s talisman has been the centre of attention lately following his bitter row with AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic last month, with some arguing he is cracking under the pressure and is out of form.
As per FCInterNews.it, Lukaku believes the criticism directed at him during his recent run of performances – scoring in only four of Inter’s last 10 games – is simply an attempt to sell more papers and make flashy headlines.
The Belgian international will never lose faith in himself and is determined to continue representing the Nerazzurri with pride, despite the unsavoury scenes in the Milan derby two weeks ago.
Lukaku is said to have little time for those discussing and judging him because he believes they do not know him in the slightest.
The 27-year-old has been prolific since joining Inter in a club record transfer deal from Manchester United in the summer of 2019, scoring 54 goals in 79 games under Antonio Conte.
He has also netted 20 times in 28 matches across all competitions this season.
FCIN confirmed during the same report that Manchester City’s rumoured interest in Lukaku is real, before assuring that the striker was extremely happy with life in Milan and had no intention of leaving Inter in the summer.
