Valencia remain interested in Inter forward Andrea Pinamonti after seeking a deal in January, according to a report in the Spanish media.
As per Mundo Deportivo, the La Liga side wanted the 21-year-old in addition to his fellow Italian Patrick Cutrone, whom Valencia signed on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers last month.
Pinamonti drew links with several other clubs during last month’s transfer window and a deal had reportedly even been agreed with Benevento, but in the end no move transpired.
This was the case because Inter did not bring in a new striker, something they were unable to do due to a lack of liquidity, and Antonio Conte did not want to be left short of options up front.
Pinamonti has barely played whatsoever since returning to Inter on a permanent deal from Genoa last summer.
The Italy under-21 international has played just 59 minutes under Conte, spread across seven appearances, in which he has failed to score or provide an assist.
Last week, Pinamonti’s agent Mino Raiola admitted he was aware of the risk he might not play much this season before sanctioning his return to San Siro.
