Stefano Sensi has suffered yet another injury setback ahead of Sunday’s pivotal Milan derby, according to a leading Italian broadcaster tonight.

Sky Sport Italia reported the Inter midfielder was struggling with muscular fatigue after the Nerazzurri’s training game today against Serie D side Vis Nova Giussano.

Inter will monitor the 25-year-old’s conditions in the next few days ahead of the big match at San Siro, although the report claimed Sensi would not have started against AC Milan anyway.

Sensi has made just one start in all competitions for Antonio Conte’s side this season, during Inter’s 5-2 win at Benevento back on September 30.

Sky also said Arturo Vidal was unlikely to start against the Rossoneri, as the Chilean continues his recovery from a knee injury.

The 33-year-old’s condition will be carefully evaluated ahead of Sunday afternoon’s crunch match, where Inter will aim to extend their lead at the top of the Serie A standings to four points.

A report elsewhere today claimed Christian Eriksen was favourite to complete the Nerazzurri’s midfield alongside Marcelo Brozovic and Nicolo Barella.
