Genoa midfielder Nicolo Rovella looked ahead to next week’s league clash against Inter when speaking to the Ligurian club after the game.
In an interview for Genoa’s official outlets, the 19-year-old Italian midfielder first discussed yesterday’s 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona.
“It was certainly a very exciting game, we managed to bring home a good draw. We’re happy with this result and we hope to continue like this.
“Certainly, the coach has made us a squad that always wants to help each other. The goal at the last minute was incredible, it was a great feeling.”
Rovella then moved onto discussing next week’s match against the Nerazzurri.
“We face perhaps the strongest and fittest team in the league, they’re top of the table. We’ll try to do our best and bring home what we can.”
Genoa currently sit 11th in the Serie A table after 23 games with 26 points. The Ligurian side have had a strong 2021 so far, picking up points in all but one of their league matches since the start of the new year.
The Rossoblu have picked up 11 points out of a possible 15 in their last five Serie A outings, showing their consistent form ahead of next week’s clash with Inter.
The Nerazzurri are currently top of the Serie A table after 22 games, although this could change depending on the result against Stefano Pioli’s Rossoneri this afternoon.
